Tommy Hilfiger is ready to reclaim the attention of twenty-somethings from brands like American Apparel and Abercrombie & Fitch by launching a new line christened Tommy. The Tommy line will be its own retail concept with free standing stores and a look that deviates from Hilfiger's signature prepster look. Youthful descriptions like "vintage-inspired", "slouchy boy-fit sweatshirt", "destroyed denim" and "cropped motorcycle boots" are bandied about when describing the Tommy looks. Young bank account friendly price points ring in at $24 to $59 for knits, $79 to $129 for denim and $129 for men's outwear and $130 for women's.
Not so fast though, if you'd like to get your hands on this new Tommy line, you'll have to head north of the border this October. The collection will first bow in Canada with three freestanding locations, plus some real estate in existing Hilfiger boutiques. Depending on how the Canucks take to the line, an international roll out could follow. There's always the trusty internet though, when Tommy becomes conveniently available on tommy.com early next year.
