Rodarte x MAC Collab is Frighteningly Feminine and Pretty

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Here's a chance for those of us who covet, but can't afford a piece from Rodarte's upcoming bordertown meets dreamy zombie girl Juarez Fall 2010 collection: The Rodarte and MAC cosmetic collaboration will launch on September 15th. First images have surfaced and despite the undead imagery and topical news reference, the colors do look femininely delicate and ethereal. A look through the names of the colors are quite referential, like: "Ghosttown", a frosty sheer white lipstick flecked with gold and green, "Juarez", a nail polish in a frosty pink; and "Bordertown" a frosty black eye pigment with red, pale blue, and silver "veining" (interesting mental image there). Prices range from $12 for nail polish to $14 for Lipglass to $25 for a pale powder. The line is limited edition, so here's your chance to wear your own Rodarte.
