We are looking forward to so, so much this September. There's New York Fashion Week, a bajillion store openings for the fall and holiday seasons and?ah yes?the release of the last piece in the collaboration between French shoe designer Christian Louboutin and the doll that has it all: Barbie.
The collaboration began on a sour note, with Louboutin redesigning Barbie's feet as she had "fat ankles," but once the three dolls?a jewel thief, girl on a safari photoshoot and a Cannes Film Festival attendee?debuted, the fat ankle debate was forgotten.
Although each of the aforementioned $150 dolls came with a four-pair shoe wardrobe, they of course need more. This next and last item arriving in September is a set of nine pairs of Barbie-sized Louboutin heels, in Christian's most recognized styles. All will bear the signature red sole and come complete with red dust bags and Louboutin shoeboxes. Look for it on BarbieCollector.com and Net-a-Porter.
