Nicky Hilton Heeds her Calling: Designs a Line of Costume Jewelry

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Landing on the internet this fall, exclusively at Nicky Hilton's foray into costume jewelry. Yup. The socialite sister-of-Paris has teamed up with Titan Baubles to create pieces that are wholesaling for between $35 and $480 (that'll probably work out to between $100 and $1,400 retail at a standard-ish markup).

"I’m a crazy jewelry collector. I've always known since I was a teenager that I wanted to do a line. Whenever I bought something, whether at a flea market in Paris or a bazaar in India, I've been collecting pieces," Hilton said.

Here's a sampling of the first collection (above). What do you think?

On a tangent: Does anybody remember Hilton's short-lived clothing label, Chick by Nicky Hilton? Or how about back when Nicky was the designer behind Samantha Thavasa handbags? Well, you know what they say: If at first you don't succeed, keep beating that dead horse. Or something like that.
