Can't wait to see what the cast and characters on Mad Men will be wearing on season four? Costumer Janie Bryant takes us through the costume truck and gives us a glimpse of what's to come:
"There will be more memorable costumes, more glitz, and then there's also going to be moments of not-so-glitzy," she says, "it's going to be really interesting." While Don Draper's wardrobe is going to be darker—"Which I think is very important for the storytelling of what's happening to him this year," Bryant says, Peggy's really going to come into her own.
As for the magnificent Joan Holloway, Bryant has some very particular looks in mind.
"I always saw [Joan] as a character who really knew what shapes work for her body, regardless of what was going on in fashion," Bryant says. "This is a slip of Joan's. Usually the audience doesn't see the foundation pieces, but it's so important for me for them to not only feel their character on the outside but on the inside as well. The color is very Joan, the jewel tone, the black lace, the bow."
