So the CFDA Swarovski Award Collection Charity Sale has been in full-swing over at Gilt since noon today and, so far, of all the one-of-a-kind pieces by designers including (from left) Prabal Gurung, Joseph Altuzarra, and Jason Wu, the only item that's sold so far is an Alexander Wang handbag for $1,200.
Maybe the thing is that not only does the customer have to be prepared to drop $10,000, $4,000, and $5,900 (above, left to right, respectively) on a dress, sight-unseen, but when you click through to check out the sizing, the looks are only available in sizes (left to right, again) 2, 2, and 0. That's a pretty niche, bold customer, if you ask us. But then again, Gilt has some pretty spectacular bold-face names on their membership roster, so we wouldn't be surprised if these pieces move into famous hands over the next 24 hours. Let's see how this goes, shall we?
