An image of what's allegedly a current window display at the Selfridges in Manchester, UK, has surfaced on Perez Hilton's fashion blog. The display shows an Alexander McQueen dress hanging, uh, Hangman-style, from a lighting suspension. In a rare moment of circumspection, Perez says it's "Too soon. Way too soon. Did they forget that he committed suicide by hanging himself!?"
Alexander McQueen was found hanged in his home on February 11 this year.
What do you think about Selfridges' window display? Insensitive or acceptable statement-making?
