Leggings may be a mainstay of your weekend wardrobe, but heed this: the folks at Refinery29 are reporting that black leggings could be deadly. "Mosquitoes are attracted to darker clothing, and the black leggings trend has many in Southeast Asia worried about the spread of dengue—a disease carried by mosquitoes. There's been a 40% increase of reported cases of dengue in Southeast Asia since last year, and fatalities have increased to 43 deaths so far—26 of whom were between 10 and 24, the age where most women wear leggings, report the Thai government. Officials recommend wearing light-colored denim." [Refinery29]
