Launched in 1956, Reyn Spooner has become well-known for its iconic Hawaiian print shirts—this year launching its first collection of contemporary sportswear: shirts, pants, shorts, and swimwear designed by the brand's creative director, CFDA winner Gordon Thompson and colleague Alice Chen-Galloway.
Reyn Spooner has just opened its first standalone store—a 900 square foot boutique inside the Sheraton Waikiki. The mid-century retro-inspired space stays true to the aesthetic of the company with its white, grey, wood, and chrome color scheme.
"Once the new collection was successfully launched in the Mainland in conjunction with our new website, the new store in the birth place of Reyn Spooner was a must," said company CEO Kirk Hubbard. "Waikiki was a natural with its international audience, and the Sheraton Waikiki’s recent remodel had the right vibe."
