Two more Saks to go

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Despite narrowing its losses in the second quarter this year, Saks Fifth Avenue will be going ahead with two planned upcoming store closures. Last month the department store closed in Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; and Charleston, SC. The Saks Fifth Avenue stores in Plano, TX, and Mission Viejo, CA, will close soon. Racked reported yesterday that Forever 21 is ready to take over the 94,000 square foot space that Saks is about to vacate at Mission Viejo. [WWD]
