FreshGuide Goes Local

New, 3 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Looks like the folks over at Sugar Inc. are getting into the local deals game, a la Groupon and GiltCity, with the launch of FreshGuide. FreshGuide will offer daily local deals—on spa treatments, food, drinks, culture, travel, health, and lifestyle services and products—at savings up to 50% to 90% off retail. Currently available to users in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, and Seattle, the service will soon be offered in New York, Boston, Chicago, Portland, Denver, San Diego, Washington D.C., and Phoenix.
