Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Reed Krakoff, Coach's president and executive creative director, will open his first standalone Reed Krakoff-brand store in Tokyo—just a few short weeks before his New York flagship is set to bow. According to WWD, the shop is situated in the Aoyama district near the Prada Epicenter and soon-to-open Marc Jacobs stores.

"Japan has always been a very important market to [Coach]," Krakoff told WWD. "The fashion consumer here is a woman who loves fashion and is someone who really appreciates some newness."

Will Krakoff's New York store resemble his new Japanese outpost? Check back here and on Racked NY on September 18th to find out.
