Material Girl Hits the Web

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Madonna's sort-of hotly anticipated Material Girl collection exclusively landed in Macy's today—it's the songstress' first major clothing collection since her capsule collaboration with H&M in 2007. If you're a big Madonna fan, or just a fan of her 80s-era look—lace, bustiers, and all—you'll definitely want to check out Material Girl. It's available both online and in stores. Dresses run the gamut, pricewise, from $15 to $22; bandeau bras (in every print you can imagine) are $5; jackets ring in around $38; and mini-skirts around $22. We're excited to see how this does—a revival of the "Desperately Seeking Susan" look could make late summer fun for, oh, street style blogs and stuff. [Macy's]
