Costco will begin opening mini-stores in malls, according to the Wall Street Journal. "Costco plans "to accelerate" steps that will in essence put its mini-mall type stores into shopping centers, the warehouse club's co-founder and chairman, Jeff Brotman, said in an interview. Costco's stores, which can be the size of three football fields minus endzones, carry tens of thousands of items, ranging from tires to polo shirts to pigs feet." [WSJ]
