Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Out today: Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga, a new biography of the meat-dress wearing songstress written by the New York Post's Maureen Callahan. The book is filled with exclusive details and anecdotes from the life and times of Stefani Germanotta (that's, uh, Gaga's real name), but what we love best are all the exclusive photos—like this one, above, taken in 2003 for Germanotta's high school senior yearbook. Note the Converse and the Abercrombie & Fitch logo top. Is this what she means when she says she was a "teenage freak?"
