Project Runway den father Tim Gunn is really making a name for himself around New York—as the fashion industry's resident mean girl. Whether his stories are true or not, Gunn just can't resist running around town running his mouth—repeatedly harping on the same old stories. In the past couple of weeks, he's been busy calling Vogue a "monkey house," going on national television saying Conde Nast needs to put its employees in straitjckets, viciously slagging off Isaac Mizrahi (who everyone else in the industry really actually seems to like very much, thank you), and telling the story of Anna Wintour being carried downstairs over and over and over again. Ad infinitum.
Today, Gunn has a new target for his vitriol: Taylor Momsen. After he was given a cameo part on the hit show Gossip Girl, Gunn couldn't help but turn around and talk smack about some of the show's stars. "What a diva!" Gunn told E! about Taylor Momsen after his appearance on the show. "She was pathetic, she couldn't remember her lines, and she didn't even have that many. I thought to myself 'why are we all being held hostage by this brat?"
Gunn also goes after the cast of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, calling them animals: "We've gone back to the Colosseum where we watch people rip each other limb to limb. I want a DNA test—how far are these women from wild animals? What do they take from this behavior? My advice is to take the high road. You'll never regret it. I've been pushed, but I discipline myself and an hour later I'm so grateful."
The high road, indeed.
