As we stood plunging our clogged toilet this morning—when we should have been getting ready for the shows—we couldn't help thinking, "Bet Anna Wintour isn't doing this right now!" The longer we thought about it, the more we realized that our fashion week morning was probably a lot different than the esteemed Vogue editor's.
Here's a quiz. See if you can guess whose morning each of these comments might have applied to—a Racked writer or Vogue's Anna Wintour? (We've seen The September Issue and The Devil Wears Prada, as well as having once sat for an entire Pastis' lunch with our back to the editor's table. We feel this qualifies us as Wintour experts.)
Quiz: Wintour, Racked Writer or Both?
1). Everyone raved over the mauve hue I chose for the the December cover—except Grace. She'd have been long gone, if she didn't have those photos of me.
2). I spent ten minutes plunging the toilet. Only a little overflowed.
3). I rushed to the subway to get to the Nanette Lepore show in time. An interesting smelling man begged me for money.
4). On the way to the Kors' show, I had my assistant remind the driver that he is not allowed to speak to me directly.
5). I was thrilled to squeeze into a size four skirt. I paired it with some H&M "pearls."
6). One of my beige suits—a size zero, of course—was a tad snug. Obviously, the designer's fault. No more spreads for Karl this year.
7). I looked online for photos of Anna Wintour.
Answers: Anna: 1, 4, 6; Racked Writer: 2, 3, 5; Both: 7
[Editor's Note: Dear Anna, We both fear and admire you, so, uh, ha ha, just kidding. Kind of.]
