A dedicated Gilt shopper wrote into Racked yesterday with a tip for readers to check their receipts carefully—because Gilt upcharged her after she checked out.
Gilt raised prices on the two items in my cart by $10 after I ordered—and charged me for it even though I ordered before the price hike. They've also raised the price on the actual sale for at least one of the items (the other one I guess sold out and was removed from the sale list)... Now I'm wondering whether something similar has ever happened to my other orders—this is the first time I've ever checked my receipt so soon after ordering, and it's easy to miss a $10 price hike. The tipster sent in a screenshot of her cart at her time of purchase and a screenshot of the order at the new prices. Has anyone else noticed this happen to them?
