iPad coming to Target

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The iPad will bow at Target stores across the United States beginning on Sunday, October 3rd. This is the third official retail location for the popular tablet device—previously it was available only at official Apple dealers and Best Buy. Target will carry all six versions—both WiFi and 3G in 16, 32, and 64GB capacities—and we hear that Target credit card customers will be able to save 5% on the purchase price. [Mashable]
