Guess how many stores Kohl's opened this past Wednesday? 15. Yup. The company flung the doors open on 15 new stores this Wednesday in Alabama, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania, reports WWD. So, while Target and Walmart are busy creating smaller stores in urban areas, Kohl's is making a bold move expanding its current megastore format. "The fourth-largest department store chain in the U.S., Kohl’s sells national and exclusive brands aimed squarely at middle income shoppers, including Levi’s, Nike, Adidas, Simply Vera Vera Wang, LC Lauren Conrad, Elle Contemporary Collection, Dana Buchman, Candie’s and apt. 9."
