Remember when Rachel Zoe opined that designers looking for a more intimate venue often go for the soft lighting and cozy, human-scaled proportions of a warehouse? Well, this is next level: Siki Im's performance-art-like presentation last night happened in a West Chelsea parking garage.
Guests had to hike up a fairly steep incline (one that was, like, built for driving) and entered into a semi-sweltering, massive concrete space echoing with Rasta and blip-hop mash-ups. Sunlight faded fast and—as you well know from any Lifetime movie that has ever involved a crime being committed against a woman—parking garages aren't generally well-lit. So that, and the vodka, made the whole event a little blurred around the edges. We wonder, though, where'd they stash all the rest of those misplaced Audis and Jaguars?
