Last night, Stella McCartney presented her pre-fall 2011 collection in a private townhouse event space in Manhattan's West Village. The three-story space—which was built in 1847 for a sashmaker and his family—was decked to the nines in a luxe English shabby-chic style, in collaboration with interiors retailer HomeGoods. Models lounged on the ground floor roasting marshmallows (and eating them!), were photographed in the dining room by the extensive and gorgeous buffet of sweets (trifle!), and swanned around the bedrooms upstairs, which also served as showcase for McCartney's lingerie, personal accessories, and shoes. It was a brilliant way to present a collection such as McCartney's—a brand that's always felt more like a lifestyle than just a simple fashion label.
