Today in hacking: If you've ever owned a pair of Ugg Australia boots—and we mean ever (see below)—your information may have been compromised. Ugg recently notified its customer mailing list of a breach in online security.
Yes. Someone hacked Uggs.
"Recently, the Ugg Australia email database was compromised by hackers," the letter says. "This breach occurred through our email service provider, Silverpop, and a number of major corporations were also victims. No credit card information was compromised. However, some non-financial information you provided may have been accessed."
This item comes from a Racked tipster with the note: "I didn't even know that I was on an UGG e-mail list? Though, now that I see it, I do recall that at one point in my life I owned a pair of bright red Uggs."
