Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Guess is probably as famous for its retro-inspired bombshell model-star making campaigns as it is for the label's laid-back all-American aesthetic. Check out Guess' latest ads—shot by living legend photographer Ellen von Unwerth, who's been snapping Guess campaigns since the 1980s!

The spring 2011 ads are black and white—reminiscent of 1960s and 1970s beach movies, no?—and feature models Alyssa Miller, Elsa Hosk, Kate Upton, and Silviu Tolu wearing cropped pants and jeans, polka dot and bustier tops, rompers and pin-up inspired swimming costumes. And this season, for guys, Guess is taking a break from its bad-boy rock-and-roll influences—instead, opting for a more clean-cut boy-next-door look with cardigans (!!), dark-wash slim-fit jeans, and plaid shirts. We're loving it.
