Remember back in July, Old Navy's commercial featured a total Kim Kardashian lookalike? Remember when Kardashian sued? Well, today, The Hollywood Reporter is, uh, reporting that the Gap (Old Navy's parent company) has retained the services of top intellectual property lawyer Louis Petrich of law firm Leopold, Petrich & Smith. HR writes: "The Gap says its advertising activities are protected by the First Amendment 'inasmuch as such activities include significant informational elements and/or constitute a transformative use.'"
