Here's What Baume & Mercier Staffers Wear to Work

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Welcome to the latest edition of Working It, where Racked takes street style to the next level—the office. The litmus test of a true fashionista is how she (or he) rocks her style on any old day to work. Forget the pedestrian khakis and a button downs—these fashionable professionals take the office dress code to a whole other dimension. Quick, somebody call HR!

This week, we bring you all the way to the Geneva headquarters of Baume & Mercier, the luxury Swiss watch brand that's been around since 1830. Today, its employees carry on the company's stylish legacy by looking the part at the office. Not only did we get to take a peek at their day-to-day outfits, but we also were able to get up close and personal with their time pieces.

Alexandre Peraldi, Design Director: "ArtisticoZen"

Alexandre is wearing a "skilt" ("A kilt is too Scottish, skirt is too feminine") of his own design, and a Baume & Mercier Hampton Automatic Chronograph watch.

Style advice: [Wear] comfort with a touch of originality.

Florian Offerhaus, International Head of Trade Marketing: Chic and comfortable.

Florian is wearing a cardigan from "a small boutique I bumped into in Paris," trousers by Massimo Dutti, a shirt by Ralph Lauren, and a Baume & Mercier Hampton Automatic Chronograph watch.

Style advice: Feel comfortable to be comfortable.

Najoie Sayeh-Bourgeois, HR Manager: It looks like the right balance between chic and classic.

Najoie is wearing a shorts from a boutique in Geneva ("The French 'Jupe culotte' is back at last, and I love it in this short revisited version!"), an Alberto Bini shirt, and a Baume & Mercier Linea watch.

Style advice: Dare femininity!

Patricia Ramos, Senior International Communication Manager: Vintage revisited.

Patricia is wearing a Maje jumpsuit from France, Mauro Leone shoes from Italy, a Capodarte belt from Brazil, and a Baume & Mercier Linea Auto-Chrono watch.

Style advice: Just like in your life, don't be afraid to take risks!
