Though the magazine itself hasn't confirmed the rumors, WWD and other outlets are reporting that white-hot singer Adele will be on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK's December issue. While we're happy for any recognition that the talented star gets, we have to admit that Cosmo is a surprising place for her to be featured, considering the magazine's usual lack of representation of bodies over a size zero. The interview accompanying the cover shoot will supposedly "show a new side to the pop star," we're curious to see how the whole thing goes down. In the meantime, though, a few questions:
1. What will Adele wear on the cover?
Cosmo is legendary for its sexy, come-hither cover poses from stars like Jessica Alba and Cameron Diaz. However, Adele's own personal style is more classic and elegant than sporty and sexy. Will we see her trying something bold, or will Cosmo's stylists find a way to make Adele look like a Cosmo girl while still looking like Adele? Our prediction: there will definitely be some hair-teasing going on.
2. Will be she be photoshopped?
Photoshop on the cover of a magazine is hardly new. But we're hoping that Cosmo doesn't whip out any Photoshop-of-Horror-style tricks and tools that make, say, an entire arm disappear. We love Adele the way she is, and Photoshopping her so badly that she's indistinguishable from any other skinny starlet would be a shame.
3. Will they ask her about anything other than relationships?
It has been pretty well-documented that much of Adele's hit album 21 was inspired by a bad breakup with an ex. However, Adele has never publicly identified him or given clues to his identity. Considering how Cosmo is all about relationships, will they get her to out him? Or will they just turn her into a You Go Girl story of triumph over breakup?
