A "playsuit" is one of those things that—in addition to not totally knowing what it is—we can all probably agree is a luxury item, as in, nothing that you really need. Well, Agent Provocateur's Soiree collection has a fancy little one that costs $24,000. Why? Because it's made of handmade tassels, Swarovski glass beads, your dignity, and is available exclusively at Harrods. And while you're there picking it up, you can get yourself a $500 blowout with products that contain the dust of meteorites and diamonds. (True story.)
Agent Provocateur CEO Garry Hogarth tells WWD that Soiree customers "show no resistance to the higher price points," and he also notes that some of them have spent "$20,000 to $30,000" on the line per visit. He fails to mention, however, if that was just on one item or not. But hey, Fashionista points out that "it's a steal compared to Victoria's Secret's $2.5 million bra, and less mermaid-y."
