Girl Scout Cookie Lip Balms: Thin Mints, Trefoils, and Samoas for Your Mouth

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's a little too early for Hanukkah and Christmas shopping, but we already have a #1 item for our wish lists: Girl Scout cookie-flavored lip balms. The balms, which are currently only available at Wal-Mart and Claire's, come in five flavors: Thin Mints, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Trefoils, Peanut Butter and Coconut Caramel Stripes. The balms are five bucks a pop and will go on wider sale in January.

As for the timing of the launch, it is Girl Scouts founder Juliette Low's birthday today. We remember getting a knot-tying badge in back in our Brownie days, which we now use for lacing up impossible gladiator sandals in the summer. Always be prepared, ladies.
