On Thursday, the U.S. Customs & Border Protection announced that they had seized a ton of fake Lacoste sunglasses at the Los Angeles/Long Beach port in mid-September. How many, you ask? 30,300 pairs. The wholesale value of the counterfeits was $48,000, and had they been real, they would have had a retail value of $4.5 million. [WWD]
