Crabtree & Evelyn Really, Really Wants You to Buy Stuff on Black Friday

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With retail sales down across the board, it's no surprise that plenty of companies are trying to lure shoppers in during the crucial Thanksgiving/Black Friday period. The Gap and Old Navy are opening some of their locations on normally-closed Thanksgiving Day, and other brands are trying to lure customers with special Black-Friday-specific sales. Beauty brand Crabtree & Evelyn has even created a special Black Friday "Weekender" collection, an 18-piece set that includes an overnight tote, a fleece robe, and a variety of hand and body creams. It runs for $150 and is a really good mom or aunt gift.

If you miss your chance to purchase the special Black Friday set or get major agoraphobia from crowded malls, C&E is also offering free shopping for anything you buy on Cyber Monday.
