A short but-not-so-sweet story on WWD this morning says that Vena Cava might be having some financial trouble. The article states that they "could be on the verge of shuttering," due to a financial deal with an unnamed investor that fell through earlier this month.
WWD reports: "A source close to the designers said the financial state of the company is 'drastic' and that it would not move forward without an angel investor or partner stepping into the picture." But Vena Cava's Lisa Mayock is optimistic, and says, "We love what we built with Vena Cava and are dedicated to seeing it thrive and grow. We have had some very positive talks from potential partners and feel confident about moving forward." Well, we have no problem doing our part to help, which includes buying this, this, and definitely this.
