Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
In conjunction with an exhibition in Beijing, Chanel has created a microsite called Chanel Culture that provides access to history of the brand, including the original press kit from the "Bijoix de Diamants" exhibition in 1932—with text written by Coco Chanel herself—and a slow-mo video of a dress Karl Lagerfeld created for the 2006 Haute Couture fall/winter collection. And then, there's a section for kids (or espace enfants, if you will) with an interactive coloring book and a memory game. Good luck getting anything else done this afternoon.
