Just like Al Gore invented the internet, Tom Ford has apparently invented luxury lipstick. Though his lipsticks retail for $48 a pop, plenty of other beauty companies are also selling expensive lipstick (and other beauty products) because, even in a recession, they're still cheaper than designer clothes. Also, Andrew Mukamal's mom sounds nice. [NY Times]
