With retailers concerned about the economy this holiday season, they're stepping up their game to make sure that you buy stuff. Though the day after Thanksgiving (or, as you know it, Black Friday) is traditionally the start of the holiday shopping season, some stores are going to be open on Thanksgiving day itself, including The Gap and Old Navy. So if you need to slip away from some family drama or fight off a food coma, you can go to the mall and stock up on henleys and new socks. [The Cut]
