Appropriate Winter Eyewear: Prada's Illusion Sunglasses

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Pulling off sunglasses 24/7 in the winter is a little more challenging than it is in the summer, mostly because it's just not as sunny. Prada's Illusion Sunglasses, on the other hand, are perfect for overcast days because they kind of look like fancy ski-goggles. The shades made their first appearance at the fall/winter 2011 show, popped up again on an army of mannequins at Tokyo's Fashion's Night Out, and they'll be hitting stores this month. And even though we're having unseasonably warm temperatures here in New York, we're digging them for future winter-weather attire.
