Very.com Launches with a Party at SoHo House

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Though Very.com has been live in the US for about a month now, the British e-tailer made the launch official last night the New York way: With a celebrity-studded dinner at "it" venue SoHo House, of course.

Among the many well-heeled guests was Whitney Port who is designing her own line for the site. Look for sweater dresses, Peter Pan collar blouses, and graphic-print shorts from Port's own line this spring.

In the meantime, Very is offering up a whole bunch of UK "high street" designers—including South, Savoir, and Love Label—for stateside shopping right now.

update:
Very stocks Whitney Port's own line, Whitney Eve, but she does not design a line for Very.com.
