Model Jessica Hart Launches Clothing Line, PJ Trend Continues

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It looks like the pajama-as-streetwear trend isn't going away anytime soon. Australian model Jessica Hart has just launched a new clothing line with New York–based brand Pencey, and in addition to big blooms and girly hearts, the line is full of, yes, sleepwear-inspired silhouettes.

But Hart gives shoppers fair warning. When it comes to actually wearing the trend, "It’s hard to pull off, you know?," she cautions. "Without [a] jumper and high heels, it’s gonna look a bit pajama-y."

And when a model says something's hard to wear, you know you better listen.
