Mom always said going outside with wet hair will make you sick. And while that may not be a scientific fact, icicles in your bangs is never a good look. So it's the perfect time of year for two new products, both of which claim that they can make your hair dry faster.
New beauty brand It Factor has developed a shampoo-and-conditioner set that they say makes hair dry fifty percent faster. It's currently available in two formulas: one for fine hair, and one for medium to coarse hair.
We tested it out: Though its thick consistency makes it difficult to get out of the bottle and onto your hair, we can report that the product does speed the blow-drying process up considerably, which is always a plus for people who are slow to get out of bed on cold mornings. The only downside is that hair feels a bit thicker and slightly more oily afterward, which could be make-or-break for people whose hair already veers toward the greasy side.
The other product is a line of hairbrushes by Cricket. The Ionic Balance hairbrushes, which are round with bristles, claim to make it easier to brush hair and get it dry. The hugeness of both the brush and its bristles is slightly overwhelming, but luckily the bristles are flexible and don't get caught in hair. As for whether they make hair dry more quickly, it's hard to say, but the added volume was a nice benefit. And the blow-drying process was definitely faster.
