Elizabeth Banks Is (Sort of) the Face of 'Hunger Games' Nail Polish

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Now that the Hunger Games/China Glaze nail polish collab is officially back on, it's natural that the companies choose a spokesmodel for the new line. And who better than Elizabeth Banks--in her costume as the chaperone for District 12's tributes? The collection is called "Colours from the Capitol," since residents of the Capitol are known for their outrageous style. Here, Effie Trinket is rocking her trademark pink hair, plus insane pastel makeup that includes little butterflies in her eyelashes.

If they do a second round of polishes for the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, can we request that Cinna (portrayed by Lenny Kravitz) get to star in the campaign?
