Ladurée Goes from Macarons to Makeup

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Beloved French pastry shop Ladurée is branching out. However, they're not trying another kind of food or going into the beverage market--they're launching beauty products. Next fall, the line (which contains liquid foundation, lip color, and "20 different blushes in the form of cameos") will launch in Japan, followed by Europe and then the US.

Though there are no images or prototypes for the collection yet, we're hoping they come in some of the same sweet candy hues as their famous macarons. Oui oui!
