Next March, the Kensington Palace will exhibit five of the late Princess Diana's dresses in an exhibition called "Diana," paired with a backdrop by interior designer Finola Inger. Three of the dresses will be on view in the UK for the first time, and the star of the show is expected to be the David Emanuel black taffeta floor-length gown that Diana wore to her first public engagement at the Royal Opera House.
Other dresses that will be on view include the little black Versace dress to the right, two gowns by Catherine Walker, and a Bellville Sassoon cocktail dress. The Telegraph points out that Kate Middleton's affinity for McQueen somewhat replicates Diana's close relationship with her wedding own gown designer, David Emanuel.
