Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail isn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Queen Latifah has done it all, and managed to do it all successfully. Rapping, singing, acting, hosting—she even has her own successful fashion line on HSN. From an outside perspective, it seems like the Queen never makes a mistake, so we were extremely curious to know if she'd ever had a case of Buyer's Remorse. It turns out she has—and it was a pretty expensive one...
Racked: We were wondering if you'd ever had Buyer's Remorse about a purchase.
Queen Latifah: I bought a Jeep Sahara back in '91, when I got my first check —me and my partner bought these Jeeps. The gas mileage was so bad on them, and we wound up spending so much money to fill up the tanks, we were like, forget it. We traded them in. Jeeps get better gas mileage these days.
Racked: How long did you have it?
Queen Latifah: I had it for about six months to a year—a good summer. What was the worst about it was I bought a hardtop, but you had to take the top off to make it a convertible, so I kept getting caught in thunderstorms. It was just not a very smart idea at the time.
