01M OneMoment Are the New Ugly Running Shoes in Town

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Move over, Vibram FiveFingers--there's another heinous running shoe in the world. A Spanish company called 01M OneMoment has launched new biodegradable slip-on running shoes.

The shoes were inspired by "native Amazonians who painted their feet soles with natural latex, obtained on the Hevea trees," hence the variety of bright colors. The clog-esque shoes come in biodegradable packaging and come in colors like "Lipstick Red" and "Bubble Pink." Plus they have kids' sizes so the whole family can coordinate.
