This morning Steven Alan showed Fall/Winter in a studio space at Chelsea Piers. The clothes were pretty-specifically Steven Alan: Preppy, fitted, a little irreverent, absolutely wearable, pretty timeless. Colors were appropriately autumnal: Wine, emerald, a punched-up navy. We loved a wide horizontal stripe on dresses and skirts; likewise the coordinating banding along the waist of a woolly winter coat. It was all very alpine and après-ski—complete with puffers coats and over-sized scarves.
And, of course, legwarmers. On men. Yes, they're just big, bunchy, wintry socks—above the boot, around the cuff. But they really read as legwarmers—see for yourself: Close-ups in the gallery. So there you have it: Legwarmers are happening for guys come fall—stock up now!
