Did Garance Dore Tell a Getty Photographer Her Name is Zoe Lulu?

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

While not at shows this week, we're spending all our spare time trawling through thousands of fashion week images—and the caption on this one at Getty Images caught our eye. It's a front-row shot of The Sartorialist Scott Schuman and partner Garance Dore, who is also a famous fashion photographer and illustrator. Except in the caption, where it's supposed to say "Garance Dore," it says "Zoe Lulu" instead. Did Dore tell the Getty photographer that her name is Zoe Lulu? Um, if she did, it's brilliant. And Zoe Lulu is pretty much the best pseudonym/alter-ego we've ever heard.
