And Now, For Some Siriano Runway Shoes

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It's been a couple years now that Christian Siriano has collaborated with Payless, and every fashion week we mourn his showstopper collection of heels because the odds are against us that we will ever be able to actually walk into a Payless and purchase them. Sure, they look amazing on the runway, but by the time Payless chops them down into $49.99 shape (despite the promise of an upcoming Payless Gold variety), the unique heels and truly fashion-forward styles are left on the cutting room floor.

Okay, maybe we did get lucky that once when Payless released three styles, but when this becomes this, Houston we have a problem.

At least we can enjoy the photos of shoes we'll never wear. What do you think of these? We're way iffy on the fuzzy-looking booties and the heels with attached spats, but those spikes on the inside of the pump heel? Now that's what we're talking about.
