Don't Pick on Sean Lennon

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The other day The Cut posted a photo of Sean Lennon taken at Rebecca Minkoff's runway show. The readers over there went bananas and ripped his outfit (and him) a new one. To be honest, we're not sure why. He was in the show, right? Anyway, he responded to The "Cut"-ting commentators: "In what way am I to dress exactly that would please you? Has it occurred to any of you insightful people that I was in fact hired specifically because, and in order to dress in a rock and roll fashion? It was my bloody job to dress crazy that day, and frankly I enjoyed it! It doesn't mean I'm a bad person, it's just more fun than wearing flannel.” Well, there it is. [The Cut]
