Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Every February during London Fashion Week for as long as we can remember, Central St. Martins, alma mater of Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, John Galliano, Paul Smith, Christopher Kane, Hussein Chalayan, and Phoebe Philo (to name a few), shows its MA Fashion graduate collections on the official fashion week schedule, in the official venue. Not all students in the graduating class are allowed to show—the shortlist of collections is decided upon by the course's formidable and legendary director Professor Louise Wilson—but those who do are presenting to the world's top fashion editors, buyers, and talent scouts, who are all on the lookout for the Next Big Thing.

This year, students Phoebe English and Viktor Smedinge won top honors—the L'Oreal Professionel Creative Award. Check out some of our favorite looks from the show in the gallery after the jump.
