Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The newly reopened Louis Vuitton boutique at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai is nearly twice the size of its former incarnation—and features the first-ever in-store "family room," reports WWD, which "offers a space for families to relax while parents enjoy a leisurely shopping experience."

So it's like Vuitton daycare-while-you-shop, basically. Kind of like Ikea's playroom or McDonalds' ball pit. Or something like that.

Meanwhile, in the United States, Vuitton has announced it will close its store in Bal Harbour Shops at the end of May and will reopen in Aventura Mall. The company is also looking to open a new store in the Miami Deisgn District sometime in the next few years.
